Dr. Timothy Hawthorne invited to attend GIS Summit in Washington DC

Dr. Timothy Hawthorne, Coordinator and Director of Research for the Georgia Geographic Alliance, is one of a handful of geographers around the U.S. invited to participate in the “Geospatial Technology – Planning for Authentic Learning Summit” in Washington DC hosted by the National Geographic Society October 26-28, 2014.  Geography leaders from around the country will spend two days at the summit discussing a future road map for geospatial technologies in the K-12 classroom.  Dr. Hawthorne is excited to represent GA at this summit, and will share more soon.
