Summer Geo-Inquiry Institute

The Georgia Geographic Alliance will be holding a two-day workshop on June 21-22 at Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta. The workshop will focus on the Geo-Inquiry Process, which is National Geographic’s major education initiative for 2017/2018. A major theme of the workshop will be watersheds and water resources in Georgia.

  • We are looking for 20 educators, with a preference for those at middle schools
    • Two educators from 10 schools
      • The ideal combination is one science or social studies teacher and one media/computer specialist
  • Lodging and some meals will be covered
  • Learn about how to incorporate geography and various geographical tools, such as GIS, into your curriculum
  • Receive Project WET certification
  • Work towards becoming a National Geographic certified educator
