*The map is finally retiring this July after two years of being across the state. Reserve now!*
In 2016, National Geographic’s Network of Alliances for Geographic Education launched an initiative featuring giant maps of each state in the United States to be used in schools. These maps were created with the expertise of National Geographic’s Cartographic Division and research on elementary spatial thinking. The Georgia Geographic Alliance (GGA) received two 16’ x 20’ floor maps of Georgia and while the initiative ended this year, GGA will keep the maps in circulation for another year. However, please note that funding changes to the program now require that teachers/schools will be responsible for all shipping costs (instead of only return shipping). We are sorry for the inconvenience but we are are delighted to still offer an expensive educational tool for a low cost to schools. If you are interested in having the map at your school, fill out the form below, and we will be in contact with you!
Check out the video below!
*Note: please see above paragraph for updated information on shipping costs.

Traveling Map Availability
There are two maps available for circulation at all times! The map below shows who has already reserved the map for specific dates. If you see two schools signed up for a week (click “see more” if it’s there!), then, unfortunately, the map is not available then. Look for another week where no one or only one school is signed up! Then, just fill out the request form and we’ll be in touch as the date gets closer.
